In the tiny hamlet of Beeac – 20 kilometres north east of Colac, you get a broad view of the Volcanic lake country that the region is famous for.
Lake Beeac is a salt-water lake that provides a stunning visual as you look across to the Warrion hills…in decades past the farmers used to bag the salt to be used to feed cattle in hard times.
Agriculture – particularly dairying, sheep and cattle is still strong in the region, and Beeac provides a hub for surrounding regions to gather.
More recently the Farmer’s Arms Hotel has enjoyed a renaissance, with new owners drawing a new generation of diners to Beeac. Want to know more about Beeac? Make sure you get in touch with our team.
